About Dovi's Library

Child Reading Book

Our Mission

Welcome to Dovi's Library, a Jewish children's library serving Hallandale Beach and Hollywood, Florida.

Our library is dedicated to providing a kosher, nurturing and educational environment for children to explore the world of literature. At Dovi's Library, we offer a wide range of books, activities, and events tailored to the interests and needs of young Jewish readers.

Our team is passionate about promoting literacy and fostering a love for reading in the hearts of children. We take pride in creating a welcoming space where families can bond over the joy of storytelling and imagination. Our goal is to make Dovi's Library a place where every child feels at home and inspired to embark on literary adventures.

Join us in our mission to cultivate young minds and cultivate a lifelong love for books and learning.

The library will, IY”H, include programs like Storytimes for children, Mommy & me, PJ Parties, summer reading contests, Homework Helpers, Tutoring Zones, Game Nights, and Jewish Movie nights.

Dovi A"H

Dovi's Library was founded in 5786 / 2025 as a program of the Chabad of South Broward in Hallandale Beach, Florida, in loving memory of Sholom Dovber Fellig A"H - "Dovi". Dovi's life overflowed with joy, affection, and kindness. He touched family, friends, and all he encountered with genuine compassion and an open heart. Dovi's impeccable character and deep devotion leave a lasting legacy, one that inspires us to be better, to greet others with warmth, and to embrace those in need.

To the lonely or overlooked, Dovi offered dignity, comfort, and a friendly hand. We carry his memoryforward by following his example, by simply saying "Hi," and noticing others, and acting with sensitivity and care.

May Dovi's spirit forever illuminate this library and community, inspiring all who partake and benefit to live and grow in kindness and compassion. Through this inspired growth Dovi will always be cherished and remembered, and he will have an everlasting part in bringing Moshiach Tzidkeinu speedily in our days.
